Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team at Rainbow Restoration. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for all things accounting, working directly with the owner to manage the financial aspects of the business. This is a sole-charge position that requires a deep knowledge of accounting practices and tools, particularly QuickBooks and payroll management. Your primary responsibilities will include handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, time sheets, and other essential accounting functions that keep our business running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of accounting for the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • QuickBooks Expertise: Use QuickBooks to manage company finances, track expenses, process payments, and generate financial reports. Ensure accuracy and consistency in all financial records.
  • Payroll Processing: Manage payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment. Process time sheets and ensure compliance with relevant payroll regulations.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and financial integrity.
  • Budget Tracking: Work closely with the owner to monitor budgets, track spending, and provide regular updates on financial performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized records of all financial transactions, payroll records, and other accounting-related documentation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for review by the owner. Provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and budgeting.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role with sole-charge responsibility for business accounting.
  • QuickBooks expertise is essential. Strong experience with other accounting software is a plus.
  • Payroll management experience, including time sheet processing and compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices for financial management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage accounting functions without direct supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work closely with the owner and other team members.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a passion for accuracy and excellence.

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
